Terms of sale

1. These terms

By placing an order you agree to these terms. They apply to every order placed through hexaluma.com. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer-protection law of the country, state or province where you live.

2. Products

Each kit is supplied complete: light bars, connectors, mounting hardware, tools and the driver, in the quantities shown in the parts list on the product page at the time of your order or, where a product page has no parts list, in the quantities needed to build the layout in its drawing. Product images are renderings of the same style of grid and are for illustration; the layout you receive is the one shown in the dimensioned drawing on the product page.

3. Prices and tax

Prices are charged in the currency shown at checkout. For delivery addresses in the United States, sales tax is added at the rate for the delivery address. For delivery addresses in Canada, GST or HST is added. Prices include import duties and taxes for every destination, and nothing further is payable on delivery. Prices may change without notice, but the total confirmed at checkout is the amount you pay for that order.

4. Payment

Payment is by card, or by Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link where they are offered at checkout, processed by Stripe. Card and wallet details are entered directly into Stripe’s payment fields or your wallet and are never received, stored or processed by us. Your order is confirmed when payment is authorized, and you receive an order number by email.

5. Delivery

Delivery is free. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days of payment and dispatched from our fulfillment partner in China within a further 1–2 business days, and typically arrive 10–15 business days after the order is placed. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you on delivery. Please report transit damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the carton and its contents; prompt reporting lets us claim against the carrier. We will repair, replace or refund damaged goods, at our option and at our cost. Reporting later does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Cancellations and returns

You may cancel at no cost at any time before your order is dispatched by emailing info@hexaluma.com with your order number; we refund the full amount to the original payment method. If we cannot dispatch your order within the time stated in clause 5, we will tell you before that time passes, give you a revised dispatch date, and offer you the choice of waiting or canceling for a full refund.

You may return any complete, uninstalled kit within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, whether or not its carton has been opened. Contact us first for a return authorization; we send you a prepaid return label, so return shipping is free, and returns go to our returns warehouse in Canada. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 10 business days of the goods arriving back.

7. Limited warranty

We warrant HexaLuma fixtures and drivers against defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the delivery date. If a part fails because of such a defect, we will repair or replace it or refund its price, at our option, and pay the shipping both ways. To make a claim, email info@hexaluma.com with your order number, a description of the fault and a photograph. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, unsuitable supply voltage or modification, or normal decline in light output within the rated tolerance. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state, province to province or country to country.

8. Installation and electrical safety

Each kit connects to the building’s mains power through its driver. Installation must comply with the electrical code in force where it is installed — the National Electrical Code in the United States, the Canadian Electrical Code in Canada, and the equivalent standard elsewhere — and with any local requirement. The grid assembles by hand. The driver’s connection to mains power should be made by a licensed electrician where local code requires it. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from installation that does not meet those requirements.

9. Liability

Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy policy at hexaluma.com/privacy. We do not sell it. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us. You may ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time, subject to the records we must keep by law.

11. Welcome offer

A welcome code gives a new customer 10–15% off their first order. The discount is decided by one spin of the wheel in the offer on this site, and every spin wins: 10% off, with odds of 7 in 10; 12% off, with odds of 2 in 10; or 15% off, with odds of 1 in 10. Our server draws the prize at random, at those odds, when the wheel is spun, and the wheel shows the prize drawn. No purchase is necessary to spin. There is one spin and one code per person and per email address; asking again with the same address shows the same code and discount. A code applies only when the email address used at checkout has no earlier paid order with us. A code can be used once, on one order, and is valid for 7 days from the time it is issued; the offer on this site and the email that carries it give the discount and the date and time it expires. The discount applies to product prices after any multi-kit savings, and tax is calculated on the reduced amount. A code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, and cannot be applied to an order already placed. The offer is void where prohibited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, or of any right to bring proceedings in the courts there.
